In the last few months my relationship went to crap, my wedding called off, my daughter is going through that 7year old phase (in a few months it will be that 8year old phase!!), my mums marriage hit hard times, my dad is an <removed>, I gave up smoking last saturday, our dog died on Monday, my baby girl/angel/spawn of satan woke up with chicken pox this morning, but it doesn't matter how bad things get, I still found it in me to pass my blue belt today!! yey me.
Congratulations on your pass. One thing many outside of martial arts fail to realise is just how focused/in a time of crisis it can make you, even if one doesnt realsie it. It really does give you some inner strength to call upon when needed. My training has got me through some tough times too, same as it has you. Hope everything else that can get better, does soon as Im sure it will. Regards, Stuart
Congratulations on your grading result. well done. I hope things start to get better for you and as StuartA said Im sure they will. You have gone one week without a smoke, there ya go, there is a positive outcome already
well done to your son, my daughter also passed her blue belt with me, it was more pleasing to see her pass than me pass, you probably feel the same about your son. its amazing that we find it can be difficult to learn the Korean terminology etc and that our children can sponge up the info so easily, oh, give me back my youth! My daughter, even though she is going through the '7year old phase' never ceases to impress me.
Back at you and to your daughter. I was suppose to test for Orange but I had to work. Just glad at my age I can hang with the kids!
Congratulations! No matter what I've experienced that day, when I get to TKD class, it goes out of my mind and I'm focused on what I need to do. Keep up the good work and stay off of the cigarettes .
You leave your shoes outside the Dojang? Depends on the place I guess, but anyway that's just being pedantic, it's a good sentiment.
