I have noticed that alot of martial arts use kick pads, but name them specific MA kick pads. I.e. Thai Kick pads, Kick boxing kick pads, tae kwon do kick pads.. and so on. Its got to be a marketing ploy right? :bang:
Nah. Thai pads are very different in feel from say taekwondo paddles or boxing focus mitts. Some are better for targeting practice. Some absorb more shock. But if I had to pick just one training pad, it'd be the thai pads. They're pretty versatile. Stuart
Id have to agree, I've used most brands that are available! Twinz, Sandee, Chucky, Thais Mai, Urb, Winners, MTG. At the moment I would recomend MTG or Muay Thai Gear, I think they are a sister company of twinz. But not sure! Very light, and seem to be standing upto the test of time. Not Ideal though for real heavy kickers.
