Ok good for you training BJJ and Judo. I respect those styles, not fully my cup of tea, but i respect them. So you have no actual experience in Silat? I understand your Bullshido detector is set to high, and yes there is a lot of BS, i agree. However sometimes it can help to look outside of the box. Some Silat is actually legit and you might learn a thing or two. The amount of money is indeed insane, if this is the case than i would never go there (i wouldnt go either way). No person should pay so much for whatever style they train. I didn't read all 23 pages so didn't read the point you made about the first page. Still i do believe people can train their senses in a way to sharpen them and for some part take over the visual sense. The story about the boy using echo-location is one example of it. Can you make a blind guy see? No not in the normal context. Some people however want to be fooled, i experienced it from up close. Can i change that? Dont' think so. It will always be there, exactly because of this 'superman-syndrome'. Some people are easily convinced and want to follow a guru. For whatever reason, either they wise up, or will keep on following the guru. Smart people will find out by themselves.
