Having studied tang soo do all these years I probably know more about Korean culture than the typical American. I don't speak Korean fluently but I do know quite a few words. My goal is to visit Korea. Both Seoul and the countryside. One day.
Asia is one of the places I want to see more of. I've only been to India. Korea would be really cool to visit.
I love Korea. I've been to Busan, Jeju, and Seoul. I recommend that you take a DMZ tour if you ever make it there.
I will make it over there. That's one of my goals. Its at the top of my list of things to do before I die.
My brother has been to Korea, he was in the Army. He told me about the weird weather, 100 degree summers, hip deep snow in winter. But what the soldiers really love is the geisha houses.
Sounds like New England, just slightly more so... we get 90-95 degree summers, and only thigh deep snow in the winter.
Yes, but you said you want to visit Korea, Seoul and the countryside, so you could of well meant north as well. If you want to be specific, you should be specific.
Anjelica, I know that the above comment was addressed to another user. However, I just want to make it clear that my desire to visit NK is not political. It's just seems like it would be an interesting place to visit.
Your saying this like someone who's actually facinated by it, your like the classic small-town racist who ends up with a African boyfriend. What happens if you meet a nice boy in panema, who's also a socialist?
Of course your curious...... Of course its completely different there, over there the rich stay rich, live off the work done by the underclass, and their leaders pass the top jobs down amongst the family. Not at all like the USA.
North Korea has always fascinated me from a psychological and sociological perspective. Their society is like an interesting human experiment. I would like to experience and observe this social phenomenon in person. I keep my political and religious views to myself of this site, but rest assured that it's not out of any sort of sympathy towards NK's foreign policy or it's ruler.
Are you familiar with Korean cosmology? The north is associated with winter and the divine warriors. the south with summer and the red phoenix.
