Not me. Yeading Ladies are all indisposed this year.

Well according to Sensei, Camie's injured and Natalie's in France. And I'm flying off at 7.30 that morning to Andorra for skiing. (Wahooo!) Provided there's snow, of course.

However, there will be 2 kata teams for Wycombe and they're looking good.

    Hey,
I just live round the corner from the Busen in Twickenham. I was thinking about training Jujitsu there rather than karate. Does anyone know much about the Jujitsu there?

Im going to go and try out a class on Wednesday so ill keep you lot posted on how it goes.

Is there anyone here that has trained Jujitsu at the Busen or associated dojos?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Some of the Karate people cross-train in Ju-Jitsu.
Me, I prefer my ears like they are...:)

They have a lot of clubs round my neck of the woods. Kingston upon Thames area.

The Busen has a sort of legendary status as well. As it is one of the very early dedicated martial arts Dojo of its time.

Sadly, I have never trained there, but I do train at an equaly "hardcore" MA haunt which used to be called the Budokan now called the Frimley martial arts center.

    Still the Budokan to me.

Why not drop in some time - there is a genuine spirit of respect in Seiki Juku.

Very perceptive; my grading syllabus booklet (Dated Jan 2001) states "Affiliated: Sekkai Butoku-Kwai", and has some information about the history of the Dai Nippon Butoku-Kwai.

Out of interest, do the Seiki-Juku enter open knockdown events? I think Ive seen some of your students in MMA style events, but I may be mistaken?

Sure it was not full-on. I just ask if it's a level of Black Belt?
    For Me it isn't

The "one-step" techniques performed there are part of the syllabus of required moves for black belt.

I don't know the context of the occasion to comment on the particular demo.
