Well it comes but once a year and its here again... a very good excuse to don the colour green, wave Irish flags arounds and drink copious amounts of Guinness! Oh and also being extra nice to anyone from Ireland would be a good idea too . Also... on this day I think we should also take time to remember one of the often overlooked achievements of St. Patrick; yes he may be credited with converting Ireland to Christianity, explaining the trinity with a shamrock and inventing the Celtic cross BUT I think first and foremost amongst his achievements must have been ridding Ireland of snakes. We all know that prior to his arrival Ireland was a seething hotbed of Cobras, Vipers, Rattlesnakes and so on and so its thanks to this man that one can walk down any street in Dublin, Belfast or anywhere else on the emerald isle without fear of snakes. Hope everyone has good craic and forgets any woes for one day!
And don't forget when you are toasting St Pat, he was Scottish or Welsh, So anything deep fried or with leeks is good to eat today too.
