Obviously this article is aimed at women but men should read it too. It helps dispell the myth that only unhealthy, overweight women have cellulite. http://breakingmuscle.com/womens-fitness/the-dirty-little-secret-of-the-female-athlete-cellulite
Its existence as a real disorder has been questioned,[5] and the prevailing medical opinion is that it is merely the "normal condition of many women".[6] One cosmetic company has noted its historical place in industrialised societies as an "inappropriate term used by women to describe curves which they judge to be too plump and not very aesthetic".[7] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulite Thoughts? Been meaning to get round to answering this for the last week. If (as seems to be the case) cellulite is a natural phenomenon, then we really have to stop demonising women who have it. Celebrity magazines should be encourage to stop their pathetic little attacks on women who have it, as should anyone who takes a pop at a woman (or man) who has it. Hehe, "body mullet". IMO while the wording of the wikipedia article is technically correct it also still gives the impression that cellulite is some sort of disorder or disease rather than business as usual for women.
It is just a slightly different type of fatty tissue. I'm not sure why women are more prone to develop it than men.
