Good call. I really enjoyed that one.

An Australian MA movie you've probably never heard of, but lots of fun and some well-coreographed fight scenes with genuine martial artists was Ironfist.

Perfect Weapon: another good call. Great work with short sticks.

Revenge of the Ninja sure was the best of the Ninja trilogy.

Never seen IRONFIST but that is Sam Greco as the bad guy? Or just a look a like?

Looks like a decent movie will watch , also perfect weapon will watch

it was a more innocent time, when you could take out 2 attackers with nothing but roundhouse and reverse crescent kicks.

So... not only a kill stealer, but also a misogynist, and - going by the quip he makes - with about as much wit to his credit as a phone book. Honestly, if you're going to kill a guy would it hurt you to at least be even remotely clever about it afterwards?

The American Ninja series is an unmitigated suck from start to finish, as far as I'm concerned, but Steve James (R.I.P.) was, is, and always will be the man!

On another tangent, they apparently had Richard Norton on set doing the stunts. What were they thinking not ramming a boot up Dudikoff's ass and casting HIM as the lead, the world will never know.

Richard Norton also plays "Ezekiel" in Force:Five above. In fact, he's the "kill-stealer" in the clip I posted. "Thank God for Bleck an Deckaahhh."

"The Hunted" (1995) with Christopher Lambert. A vastly underrated ninja flick that comes this short to actually being a genuinely decent movie - if it wasn't for the annoying "comic relief" swordsmith tacked on in the last third or so for no clearly discernible reason.

    Clip spoiler-tagged for gore:

That comic relief swordsman, curiously, is Tak Kubota. Likely the most decorated martial artist in that movie.

A pity he didn't get to show it off, really. Not that the movie was short on epic fight scenes as it is but there's never too many of those, is there? ;)

No, there really isn't. But I'll be damned if I'm ever riding a train in Japan. ;)

^ Point well taken. Or at least stay as far away as you can from any people carrying sports bags and doing their damnedest to look inconspicuous. Come to think about it - if you see people like that boarding the train, just wait for the next one. Better late than never.
