I have a short time frame (two Weeks) before I need to go full time cardio again for competition and am looking for a basic, preferably body weight so I can do it in the house, exercise session for conditioning, not looking to make majore max strength gains or anything as there just isn't the time just feel it would be a little jumping the gun to hit the cardio full throttle right now but don't want to sit on my ass for two weeks. Would Gotchs bible be good for this purpose ? if not (or even if it is so I can mix things up) know any other workouts along the same line ?
Yes yes and yes!!! For thos unfamiliar its a deck of cards, Reds for push-ups/dands and black or squats - face value for reds, double value for black jokers can be included and are wild at 52 reps of the preceding exercise You can also mix it up by giving a different arm/leg exercise
great, looking foreword to this, will post time it took me tomorrow and how long I managed into the three minute wrestlers bridge.
Aim for 3 x1 minute if you have never done it before. If you want the full 3 concentrate on breathing and it passes quicker

yeah Im using this method. Number Cards (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10)= Given value. Face cards (Jacks, Queens, Kings)= 10 value. Aces= 11 value. Jokers= 20 value. just over half a deck done, im dying
I was going to do the jokers but there were none in the deck some one else must have took them out, don't know if I'd have been able to finish it if they'd been in, not sure how long that took me some where between 40 minutes and an hour, only managed to hold my bridge for a 1 and 9 seconds. That was nuts, a mental workout as much as a physical one, I wouldn't advice anyone to try it without music, I really enjoyed it though.
When I was at my peak fitness (some time ago now) I got the timing down to around 30 minutes. The bridge advice I gave above was specific to the bible - and now you know why! First time I did it I didn't even bridge after because I had nothing left I have to be honest I have not done the bible for a while...I may have to go worship at the altar of Gotch tonight as I have no classes to teach! Puke bag on standby!
