Employers

Just out of interest would Wales have St Davids day? If so, as an Englishman living in Wales, which would I take? Would a Welsh Employer recognise St Georges day or would I have to celebrate St Davids?

My Welsh Wife works in England, which would she take?

 

I personally think we should all have St. George's, Andrew's, and David's off.
Or at least one of them for each respective country.

Where you work should dictate it - not where you're from.

 

Scotland already has different bank holidays

Personally I'd like to see everyone have 1 week of unpaid holiday added to your usual days. Up to you whether you took it in one go or 5 "duvet days" or at all.

 

I voted no If we have to work St Davids day you lot can do St Georges!

 

Or people that don't get paid holidays and can't afford to be forced to take another day off :cry:

 

Or the context of the day off. I doubt that St George means much to your average Brit from Asia, Middle East etc:

Yeah, but if we do get St George's Day off then it's greater leverage for you to maybe get St David's day off!
