When you think of "garage" as a genre, what do you think of? It seems like people think two completely different genres as garage. One is Garage Rock. It includes 60s bands like the Monks and Count Five, as well as proto-punk bands like the MC5 and the Stooges, and some new bands like the White Stripes, the Hives, and the Vines. The other is Garage House, which is an electronica/house genre that is often influenced by (or is) rap/hip-hop.
