Hi there, Joined the site a while ago but never got around to posting anything. Hopefully I have some more time now and will be more productive. A little but about myself; I am in my late 30s and have practised various martial arts over the years to a mediocre standard. Did some shotokan karate asa kid and Kung Fu a few years back. For the past couple of years I have been studying and enjoying the bujinkan (I realise its not for everyone but i am finding it perfect for my needs). Very recently realised that my fitness is holding me back somewhat and have finally started to try to turn back the years of neglect. Anyways i will leave it at that, cheers
Welcome to MAP Zombie. Don't listen to the haters. They're just jealous that our cool ninjaness gets made into all the best TV/movies. My judo training from a Kodokan trained judoka and successful former competitor was far less painful and intense than my Bujinkan training.
But everybody was Kung Fu fighting! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TId2NDiuu2s&nomobile=1&gl=IT&client=mv-google&hl=it&guid="]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TId2NDiuu2s&nomobile=1&gl=IT&client=mv-google&hl=it&guid=[/ame]
Cheers for the welcomes and yes I like a bit of kung fu fighting as well but only if it is as fast as lightning.
