favourite genre(s) of METAL?

what's yours?

i love industrial metal, but have particular soft spots for power metal and melodeath.

 

I like alkaline earth metals such as magnesium and radium.

 

I have three Darkest Hour tees but they've changed, or maybe I have, less keen on their recent material. Still, their melodic deathcore sound from Hidden Hands to Undoing Ruin is awesome. I'm listening to Chevelle on Spotify, came across a track in a mountain bike vid I really liked yesterday. Supposedly alt metal. Was listening to Deftones White Pony while cleaning the kitchen earlier

I'm a fan of Symphonic Metal myself (Nightwish,etc)

 

you can have my Versailles cd. it's not that I don't like a bit of shredding

 

Iron Man is awesome.

 

I'm generally a fan of anything progressive: porcupine tree (almost metal), dream theater (mostly metal), opeth (used to be metal), gojira (still metal), cryptopsy (definitely metal before lord worm left).

I also love a bit of death metal: dying fetus and nile are awesome to work out to

 

Brutal Death.
Grindcore.
Blackdeath.
Black metal.
Doom.
And occasionally prog.
