From 72-74 Iggy had silver hair and silver pants, James Williamson had a sci-fi spaceman suit with high silver platform boots, and Ron Asheton had a tiger-print jacket.
It said Bowie and Iggy not Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars or The Stooges (who I thought were more garage punk than glam)
Ronson had recorded on two Bowie albums before the whole Ziggy Stardust/Spiders from mars thing. Also, look at the options again: I don't list "Iggy Pop", I list "Iggy & The Stooges".
Sorry got ahead of myself about the stooges thing, But I still say Bowie stands as an Individual and Stooges were Garage punk with Glam elements. The Sweet had it all going for them. Plus the lead singer was Mark McManus's half brother.
Well it's a moot point anyway. Nitpicking at best. Otherwise the thread would have to be favorite glam reccording artist or band.
