Hi David, There was a problem a few days ago when the Domain Name was due for renewal - Orac forgot. It was then renewed, but there still seems to have been problems since then. not sure what is happening here, as it seems to be down tonight. Looking at whois.com indicates the domain has been transferred somewhere else, although it was renewed on time (my names still on the ownership). Have reported the 'theft' to 123-reg.co.uk - will let you know when I get an update.
I think I must have misread the whois page yesterday - I was expecting the 'Registrar of Record' to be 123-reg.co.uk but instead it was TUCOWS, INC. However I see the 'Registration service provider' is 123-reg. DNS entries are pointing to NS1.RENEWYOURNAME.NET instead of ns1.martialartsplanet.com which is the issue, even though I've changed them twice now. Changed them again this morning, and waiting on feedback from 123-reg. Sorry bout this!
It's gone again. This time the domain itself has been swiped, as I no longer have access to it at all. Not sure how this has happened - have sent a complaint to my hosting company.
I've done some searching and there are a number of people this has happened to that also use 123-reg.co.uk - accounts have been broken into and domains nicked. Not sure why someone would do this for a site as small as ET though! Will look at changing registrar if security at 123-reg not up to scratch.
I'd get the hell out of there! I use domainshack.com for my domain names, and have a master account at Enom. I can't give domainshack a big enough glowing report. They set up my Enom account for me, and when I registered a new domain through them, and their support team contacted me off their own backs offering to put it on my master account within minutes of me registering. If I was you I'd get a master account at Enom, push all your domains there, and buy any future ones through domainshack.
I noticed a couple of days ago that easy tec was missing. I ouldnt even get in here until the email gave a link. My favorite linkto this site has always worked until Thurs night. All I got was a page of adds. Do you think someons is trying to tell us something? David
