   I've read the FAQ and it said if you have 10 posts you should have PM's. Unfortunately it isn't working for me.

   The FAQ is out of date. You get access to PMs when your user title changes from Registered to Valued Member. I can't remember if that's 20 or 50 posts, but it's not too many more.
