Just wanted to post my congratulations to my chief instructor, Scott Gibson, of the SAMA Organisation. Scott "Too Hot" Gibson won the ISKA European Light Heavyweight title on Saturday night at Hove Town Hall with a unanimous decision against Lukas Wolf of the Czech Republic. Ten rounds of great kickboxing. Great night out. And Mark Waters came out of retirement to take the British title at age 44 (I think) with a decision over Jason Curtis of the Kokoro Gym in Accrington in another great contest.
Yup, it's good to know your instructor can walk the walk and is passing on proper skills. (And it was the first time any of us have seen him get kicked in the face!)
