Hi there. I am interested in starting aikido and this is the closest club to my home that will take students under 18. I will be going to check it out with my friend in September. Does anyone know is this club is good or can vouch for the training i will receive? Have any of you been there?

Their website can be viewed here .

Thanks for any help in advance.

The club is affiliated with Aikido World Headquarters Japan via membership of the British Aikido Federation here in the UK under the technical direction of Kanetsuka Minarou Sensei.

    Google British Aikido Federation.

The club should be (will be) studying orthodox Aikikai Aikido and certification issued for grades are recognised internationally.

Go down, say hello and have a go.

Seconded - I trained with a BAF Dan grade (now 4th Dan I believe) a few years ago from their Midsomer Norton dojo and although we only had 1 day together his Aikido was excellent (much better than my efforts). Their Summer School is reputed to be very worthwhile:
