    Introduction
In the thread Beginners Guide to Posting on MAP, I told the basic ways of posting. This article will go into the advanced options and formatting that you can do to “mark-up” posts.

    The Post Toolbar
In the New Thread and New Reply screens, you may have noticed a tool-bar like this: [IMG]
This is the easiest way of formatting text in your posts. You will recognise many of the tools from common word-processors. Below is a list of the tools, and what they do:
[IMG] clicking the small arrow lets you choose which font you want to use for the post.
[IMG] by clicking the small arrow, you can choose the text size, with 1 being the smallest and 7 being the biggest.
[IMG] you can choose the text colour by clicking the small arrow.
[IMG] this button allows you to make text bold.
[IMG] this button allows you to make your text italic.
[IMG] this button allows you to underline your text
[IMG] clicking this button allows you to left-align your text.
[IMG] to center your text, click this button.
[IMG] clicking this button allows you to right-align your text.
[IMG] to indent your text, click this button.
[IMG] clicking this button gives you three choices: by entering the number 1 you can make a numbered list, by entering the letter a you can make an alphabetical list, or by leaving it blank you can make a bulleted list.
[IMG] click this to insert an image that is already on the Internet.
[IMG] to insert a link to another web-page, click this button.
[IMG] clicking this button allows you to insert an email address.
[IMG] to insert some code, click this button.
[IMG] clicking this button allows you to insert HTML code.
[IMG] to insert PHP code, click this button.
[IMG] to quote somebody in a thread, click this button
