about a month ago i went to the beach and i hurt my back while surfing
,i wiped out on a huge wave and i just torpedoed in the sand head first,my body was straight and it felt like my lower back and neck telescopedmy neck is fine but my lower back is killing me,it really hurts to lean back and jump high(when i jump i raise my legs to my shoulders and curve my back forward kinda.......whatever) anyways
has anyone had this sort of problem before? advise? should i go see a chiropractor? and how much is an x-ray ? or is it nothing like my dad said?

You should see a doctor. Your back is one of those things that just never heals and won't get better without medical treatment. And what's confusing is choosing which treatment, my brother was recomended surgery but opted for chiropracting, a steroid shot and a rigorous excercise and stretching routine. That seems to have worked, although we don't think the chiropracting really helped. He stoped that once it felt better and it has continued to hold up.

He's a wakeboarder, so his back gets alot of abuse regularly.

The point is to have a doctor refer you to a few specialists to see which treatments work for you.

if its been a month ago and ur back is still hurting you must of did something. i would see a chiropractor or something so they can determine wuts wrong and help you feel better.
