I had a good laugh when I heard this on the news, the offender was pulled over after being found to be driving a stolen car then another officer turned up because he knew the man, a scuffle ensued and despite the officers using batons and OC spray to try and subdue him the guy got away from them and hopped into the Highway patrol car which had the keys left in the ignition and drove away. The car apparently didn't have a GPS tracker in it so they didn't find it for hours until a member of the public called them saying they'd found the car abandoned, the alleged offender may of stolen some weapons from the car. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/2013/01/27/15/00/nsw-police-hunt-stolen-highway-patrol-car

Haha, yeah pretty much except the dude here was allegedly on ice and that's how he apparently took the beating and still escaped, also he had to spend more time to start the car himself.
