You and @Travess nailing the mid Christmas run!

Sounds like one heck of a journey! The weather looks awful all round the country.
I feel you should have had some dramatic classical music on during the run.

    Haha!!

    Charge of the light brigade?

I actually try to run without music because it leaves less places to hide mentally and accentuates the horror, solitude and grind of the whole experience. I'm fun like that!

    5.6km over all

average pace of 5.5 minutes per km.

Using km because so is Knee Rider and it makes it sound bigger.......

Just as an additional note, the socks were absolutely amazing. Absolutely nothing close to a blister. 100% worth the money.

What socks (brand) did you get?

Karrimor ones from Sports Direct. You could find better value elsewhere I'm sure but I am pleased with these. I only wish they went a bit higher as I don't like wearing ankle socks.

Good old SD. If I had a penny for every box of those beauties I flung out of a cage I'd... Well I'd have more than they paid me for sure. Dark days.

PREACH. Sort of why I'm hesitant to recommend them, because I used to wok there too

You can get various height running socks, definitely worth paying a few quid for. I'm most if mine are under ankle height, but I have 2 pairs just over.

Another good run! What app is that?

    I'll look into that definitely.

The app is called "MapMyRun" spelled like that as one word. It's made by under armour and it's a free app :)

Ah yes, i didn't recognise it- I used mapmyrun years ago, but the under armour seem to be taking over everything now (including my wardrobe)

Right, so spring is officially in the air now and as it's gotten significantly warmer and more importantly - lighter at night; I have no excuse not to rekindle my love hate relationship with running.

Grabbed a coffee after work and got my battered old treads on (still not got a pair of runners).

I did 7.65km at a 6:32mins per km pace and it wasn't as godawful as I was anticipating.

Got in and bashed out a few sets of 20 pressups (100 total).
