Seem to be hearing quite a bit regarding a number of wins being given to the Korean teams despite obviously loosing. An almighty row ensued when the Indian Bronze 60 kg medal winner refused to accept or hold, a medal. Anyone up on this? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/india-fumes-robbery-ring-korea-105314530--box.html?soc_src=copy . .
Haven't been following this to be honest. I have to admit, being the sexist pig my other half insists that I am, I originally didn't like the idea of women boxing - at all. But I was well impressed with the skill level at the Olympics and the several tornaments I have seen since. Some of the fights have been every bit as entertaining as the men.
I didn't see any of it. Don't know how good it was by any standpoint. I thought the story itself, unusual, however.
How long has Olympic boxing been fixed these days? Both Floyd and Roy Jones Jr. were robbed there. Judges in these things should get their choice of wearing either a snowy white beard and Santa outfit.. or a ski mask.
