.. By banning his own books!

Ashida Kim has declared, "I have been privileged to have learned a great deal by studying Ninjitsu, and I have been honored to share this knowledge with you, and I will not have it stolen and put to evil purposes by people who are corrupt and crooked!" (8:15) His facial impressions were extremely intense...

He starts laying down his legal decelerations around 6:20. If you don't know already, Ashida Kim is the worlds (self declared) greatest living Ninja Master. You can learn about him below:

Ive seen a vid of him doing Bassai dai kata, it was pathetic in so many ways man..
And ofcourse incorrect but thats sort of expected.
That... performance he did there is the "dante kata" LOL. From that black dragon society group. An equaly odd group of folks in my opinion.

I think his first book(let) lol was just an extension of the bdsociety crap that was advertised in the back of comic books!!
From there it just got more bizzare if thats even possible.
These types sure are good for a laugh though :)

I'm not going to watch the videos (cos I'll never get that time back) but could someone explain what you mean by 'ban' his books.

On that video of the ninja femme fatale, was it just me or was the authentic Japanese atmosphere they'd spent dozens of dollars recreating suddenly shattered by the appearance of a fat guy in a Guinness tee shirt? :hat:

    Dozens of dollars? Really?

That backdrop looks like the foyer of my favorite MOS Burger in Nagoya. :bow1:

That's where it was shot. The dozens of dollars was the burger budget to get the guy fat enough to fill out the Guinness tee shirt :hat:

I love MOS Burger....Speaking as a 6'1", 185lb mesomorphic North American, eating a cheeseburger the size of a hockey puck significantly reduces the amount of after-meal guilt.

Back in the day (1970's), frauds like this were dealt with in-person by legitimate martial artists. Times were simple then. You simply walked in to some bogus school in uniform and sat politely according to etiquette and waited for the obligatory "would you like to spar with us?". At that point, you made it abundantly clear to the fraudulent instructor and his students the difference between bogus martial art and authentic martial art. A controlled beating usually makes the point. Sadly, as the 1980's came around, everything became an issue of lawsuits and you couldn't self-police your martial arts community anymore. I miss the old days.

Ah yes, the good old days, when we all lived in bad martial arts movies, probably with terrible dubbing or mispelled subtitles.

    Meanwhile, in the real world.....

You know, we may be 20 something years late to the Ashida Kim is an imbecile party, but frankly, how can this stuff fail to entertain, even in 10 years its still going to be possibly the funniest fake m/arts stuff that ive seen.

Here, just like anytime he opens his mouth or even just moves, he digs his own grave!!

I miss the good old days as well. Back in the day ( early 1500's ), frauds like this were dealt with in-person by legitimate representatives of the church:

Being forced to sit in The Comfy Chair usually makes the point. Sadly, as the 1980's came around, everything became an issue of lawsuits and you couldn't self-police your church community anymore.

POKE HER WITH THE SOFT CUSHIONS! :hat:

Okay so I just watched Ashida Kim's rant about books and copyrights and everything. To some degree I feel sorry for any author whose work is controlled not by himself but rather by a publisher. But he's going to sue anyone who is not authorised to sell his books? Well a bunch of those KINJITE!!!! books are for sale on eBay right now. And Amazon are also selling these KINJITE!!!! books too. Hell, I have a few of them, I might sell them myself so I can wear an "I was sued by Ashida Kim and all I've got left is this lousy tee shirt" tee shirt :hat:

    Incidentally, what the heck?
