Well there are artifacts from the Celtic region (part of which is not the UK) showing MA training on pottery that goes back 2000 years before the CMA was developed in the Shoalin Monastaries in China. But the Celts are originally Eurasian said to have come from the steps of Asia and Europe.

There are records from Ancient Greece and Rome, there are records from the Egypcians, but as Europe has interacted with Asia and Africa for thousands of years, there is even evidence of interaction between the Guals, and the Celts with the Mongol Nation and China so it is very hard to say. But where ever it came from it is now considered WMA.

    Best regards

Eurasian is the official term I beleive, there is even evidence that the Celts intermingled with the Mongol Nation (DNA report on the History Channel) and another Documentary on Discovery showed some cave paintings in China depicting the Chinese people along side a Ginger Headed Celt, they say that this was evidence that the Celts in some way helped to build the 1st great wall of China, aparently accoring to the Documentary and a Chinese Arichologist who was on the Documentary the great wall was built no less than 7 times, he is constantly finding new sections of the wall all the time.

It is also said that the Scynthians showed the Celts how to make Plaid (SP?) You know their famous Tartan and that they also showed them how to use the long bow which they used at one time only for hunting and not for battle.

There is even some that beleive that the Scot's are in someway connected to the Egypcians, they say that an Egyptian Princess called Scotia (SP?) was the first leader of the Scot's nation and it is for this reason that they see links between the ancient Egyptian relgions and the Celtic religions, but then there are those who also link the Celtic religion to the Goddess Kali beleive it or not. Although these researchers point out the similarities and claim certain evidence the Jury is still out on these though.

The Celts did not orriginate in Britain / Ireland and Northern Europe, for instance they say the original inhabitants of Britain were the Picts and the Scots came across from Ireland a few thousand years ago they fought and intermingled with the Pictish Nation and eventually came together so much they became known as the Scotish Nation.

So Indoeuropean / Eurasian, I suppose so.

    Best regards

I have seen the books of some Italian swordmanship, like "Flos Duellaturom" the angle of the chart, with some animals terms:like tiger, boar, elephant, snakeand etc.And the angles have the x patterns and have two downward strikes and two upward strikes, anothr two horizontal strikes then followed by a thrust...maybe some might be a resemlance but they started with (abraccar) or empty then knife and to the swords etc.A VERY DIFFERENT APPROACH OF TEACHING.
