    Dracula died after all.
Very sad, even though he reached quite a nice age.

Whenever I watched Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings I always thought it great, what he still could do, despite of his age even then.
And how easy he made it look all the time.
(I mean, there are people hardly 60 who seem not able to move straight for 100meters...)

    Source (among others)

EDIT 2: Thanks for the correction in the title!

    Awwww no :(

I guess it had to happen at some time, but even so, I'm still sad. You have to admit, he had a hell of a presence on the big screen even in his later years that will be missed.

    RIP Mr Lee.

Excellent wizard but he was seriously deranged in The Wickerman as Lord Summerisle.

Cristopher Lee, some say the inspiration for James Bond (Ian Fleming's cousin), WWII hero.

His service record is classified. But he'd been personally decorated for battlefield bravery by the Czech, English, Polish and Yugoslavian governments.

About war, he said "When you're involved in a war it's the old saying 'if your name's written on the bullet, there's nothing you can do about it'. So you just banished it from your mind. Of course I was scared on some occasions and anyone who says they aren't scared during an operation probably isn't telling the truth. I know about six people who had no fear. Literally none. Whether that was due to a lack of imagination or because they'd conquered it, I don't know. In fact one was Iain Duncan Smith's father, who was one of my closest friends. But during a war, people are taught to kill and they have the blessings of the authorities to do so, so if it's your life or somebody else's, you want to be quite sure it's not yours."

Legend has it that when doing Lord of the Rings, Jackson told him "imagine the noise of someone being stabbed in the back". Lee's answer: "don't need to, I know that sound".
