It's a relatively short read and there's some very interesting fact's about a few subjects.
The part i found interesting were the similarities between the ancient culture and the Hopi. Some of the subject matter may actually be the first information that was actually passed down from civilized people on the subjects spoken about.

I just found it interesting and wanted to show this page to fellow forum members. Thanks

Interesting to add to your thread (and I hope not to derail) but there was this Rabbi who found similarities between the Hebrew religion and Hinduism, I just can't remember his name.

Why is this relevant I hear you cry well Sumerian and by extension Babylonian religions were the forrunners to Judaism and according to the story of the tower of Babel after the Gods or GOD depending on your understanding destroyed the tower the people were dispersed throughout the world, how strange would it be if the Hopi are truly descended from Sumer?

Thanks for your reply....I have read some about the Hopi and this particular writing was more information in a shorter space than i have seen about their beliefs name wise.To link from the information given in the page anyway.
I just wanted to put it out there for the ones that may be interested in this.I also have interest in Mayan,Inca, and the Aztecs history.
I am not really a 2012 buff when reading about the Mayans but i really like reading about the history of ancient Indians.I call the beginning of recorded history ancient in my way of thinking.

    Hmmm,
I wonder what is really the common theme with ALL history of mankind.. Stories themselves can be different in areas, sometimes just due to language/interpretation.
Maybe its better to look at symbology to find the simmilarities or real messages..

Or you could rely on, you know, archeological evidence and historical record?
Suggesting that the mesopotamians could have had links with North America, for example, is patently absurd because of a lack of historical record or acheological evidence, for example. See what happens when you use your brains?

The great secret Ed Leealskin used to construct Coral Castle was a system of tripods and block and tackle, as well as a hefty chunk of time... the web videos take various unrelated items and made up relations between them.
An episode of Skeptoid dealt with Coral Castle. Unfortunately the Geocities link that usd to host the images is down, I'll have to try to find them.
The Sumerian creators of man were the gods An, Enlil, Enki and Ninhursanga, only Ninhursanga was female.
Ka for Sumerian was a compound verb, not the father essence. Enki may come close to holding that role instead.
The Earth goddess was Ki, the Earth was formed at the birth on Enlil, where the earth and sky were separated.
Ki was the Earth Goddess, Enki wasthe head ofthe pantheon.

Enki was known as Ea to the Akkadians and Babylonians, though I can't find his name with the added "to".
The only listing I could find for destroyers was Enlil who created the deluge to destroy humanity, and Martu, the destroyer of cities.
Ningirsu was a god of irrigation and war.
I can only find aku to have two meanings, cripple and pole.
I can't find either dakan, or takaniku listed.

Well, I though Shu meant snake?
I can't find anything listed for shukhem that doesn'ttie back to the original link.
Personally, since snake didn't translate to shu, I'm calling bollocks.
I know that Khem was the Egyprian word for black, and that Egypt referred to itself as Khemit. Not really adding anything there, just some trivia.

Tiamat was a primordial sea goddess. She was killed by Marduk and from her body he made the heaven and the earth.

    Mirsa stood for snake.
The words for dead was dugdugurhi to the Sumerians.

I couldn't find matches for all the terms or phrases, so didn't address what I couldn't.
The "starships" makes me feel this came from some of Stitchens works, as he's the main author i know who makes claims along this style.

    Sumerian Dictionary
    Sumer on Wikipedia
    List of Sumerian Deities

ColaMike.. That was very well written and thank you for the time and effort you put into your work on pointing out discrepancies of the information on that page.
When i read subjects of this nature the topic of misinformation always comes up.When people post threads on forums and on websites related to ancient civilizations. And getting the actual true information lot of times is never given on some of the forums and sites.
I have no way to know if there was an actual link between the ancient Europeans and the American Indians but i am pretty sure some beliefs and customs did survive the decades and the migrations.
It's kind of a hobby of mine reading about the Indians especially the ones i mentioned. And in the area i live in you can go arrowhead hunting plus look for various other relics also. And if your lucky you find some especially in dry creek beds. Thanks again.

It was an effort, but part of the reason I put the links to the sites I used is why the information from them is fairly solid to be accurate, it may not be.
I may be wrong, and am posting the links so's to have my work checked.

i have to ask, from what source does that theory come from?. (im not saying i think you believe it just cos you said it, i do realise you are just providing info for debate)
I was gathering ammo lol for the mormon topic that came up recently and i came across this. Does this theory pop up anywhere else? I like to have the odd sniper at religions every now and again but im really actualy open to all versions of history so as to kind of find a common theme amongst them all.
    cheers.

The wiki on the Tower of Babel is pretty interesting.
It may stem from the actual city of Babylon, or the rebuilding or the Temple of Marduk.
