They aren't as nutty as the MSM makes them out to be, at first the origional story was that they were going to kill Muslims and no one cared so it became police officers. The feds also have limited evidense because much of the "planning" was am FBI agent saying "we need to do this if so and so does that" which is technically entrappment. Course I don't believe much of what the MSM says anyway & would like to know why I have 3 known terrorist training camps in WV but nothing gets done. eh...

Most american 'militias' are a bunch of skinhead racist rednecks who have poor self-esteem and can't figure out how to live with anyone outside of their own race. They are considered hate groups, usually are affiliated with neo-nazi movements and have a high 'prison' experience record. Confronted one on one they back down but like to show up in groups and stomp people....

Tim McVeigh reacted to federal governments slaughter of women and children at Waco. Remember years later it was proven that the Feds and not the Branch Devidians set the structure on fire. Also McViegh wasn't a militia member, he attended a few open meets of the Ohio Militia and they even went so far as to bar him from anymore and turned him into the feds for wanting to blow a federal building in retaliation for Waco.

Actually they aren't the Militia-movement isn't racist at all one of the spokesmen for the militia movement is a black guy, guess the neo-nazi's better revoke his membership. Unless of course your going by the Southern-Poverty-Law Center's BS but it should be pointed out that the SPLC has been known to make anti-sementic remarks and has a specifically socialist agenda. The federal government has not actively placed the militia as a hate group except during anti-gun presidencies; Clinton & Obama. Bush whom the militia movement didn't like either didn't consider them a hate group, but Bush was pro-gun... hummm notice a trend.

In fact even wiki says "Political pressure groups, such as the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center have portrayed militias as racist, despite there being only tenuous, if any, connections to White supremacists."

Now myself being a veteran and having sworn an oath to up hold the Constitution and the ideas of the Constitution & being very pro-gun myself (own several), I agree with some of their ideologies if not their methodologies. A militia can be racist but the Militia Movement which makes up the bulk of American Militias aren't racist or permit racist members. If you feel they are connected to Neo-Nazi's because they both engage in paramilitary training, then everyone on this forum is a Neo-Nazi as well because Neo-Nazi's and Militias both practice some form of MA as part of their training...

Looking into it this couldn't be more wrong they are a very diverse group apparently, and "American Militia" is their name.

From what I saw on CNN ( they posted up 2 interviews with leaders) they believe that since America is "Free" they should not have use things such as, social security numbers, birth certificates, passports, drivers licenses, pretty much any kind of paper work. They believe the Government is controlled by what they call "A new world order" and law enforcement officers are the puppets of said world order. They are pretty much promoting Anarchy, no one can tell them what to do kind of thing. They have militant training camps which they post videos of online ( Will get link once I find it) All for the greater good of America which is bogus, bringing down the government isn't going to help the country much lol. It was said members where arrested for plotting a murder of law enforcement agent( that comes straight from CNN I have yet to find evidence of that ). To me this seems like terrorism right on our doorstep and is a movement that could be troublesome if it is allowed to grow and could lead to another incident like the Oklahoma City bombing.

    Links, man!

Search as i may, i haven't found any legislation that would change the status quo re: gun control during the Obama administration.
Still there were news of people stockpiling weapons and ammo "just in case"

If I was american i would probably be worried about the state of domestic politics, but looking in from the outside it's just morbidly amusing.

Thanks Ranzan, yeah there is a group here in Oz called the freedom movement. They go for the dont need a liscence to drive and such aswell. Dont agree with it myself.

Have to agree with D Azropht on the McVeigh thing though, there was no militia involvement there as far as i know.

Oh, OK, thats who R.Sanchez is lol. On a different forum (American) i mentioned Gun Control and got replies like, "listen to Rick Sanchez much" haha.

One thing is clear, if they are attempting to pave the way for gun control in America, then the you know what will hit the fan Big time..

Well the New World Order is the layman's term for Commie-pinko world government lol Actually the New World Order thing gets kinda fuzzy with truths, half-truths and down right lies. What most people call the NWO is basically the globalist movement which even I'm against in some ways.

As for social security thats actually an illegal tax, it was never voted on properly it just appeared on the books one day. Some of the militia groups aren't so obsessed with NWO and are more or less guys who simply make us of American laws; there is a law on the books which says that all US citizens are the militia & breaks the militia into to catagories the "organized militia" which is the National Guard and the Unorganized Militia which everyone permitted by law to own a gun.

Shoot there has been plenty, mostly taxing to posession of gun and ammo to death. Hell Obama even worked his "civilian military corps" (a violation of US law) into the Health care bill/law. This is just a few steps to the eventual break down the US has been headed towards since Wilson. A large part of the problem with the US is that we have been divided over BS ideas for such a long time. America is nowhere as free as we advertise...

Funny... the militia mentality. A mix of social misfits and gun lovers who don't want anyone to tell them anything and the obligatory would be tax dodgers.

From my personal experience many of them are out and out racists. Several of them had extensive backgrounds in law enforcement which was (or wasn't) a bit of a surprise on both the racism level and the 'own guns at any cost' level.

I'm not overly impressed with the militia types. The feds keep an eye on them because its seems many of the issues of domestic terrorism come down to half baked white supremacists/militia types and not muslim extremists.

Seems the militia groups are always the ones whining about Walmarts across America being turned into concentration camps when 'the man' decides it's time. Or that there are black helicopters following them and waiting to insert foreign troops into some backwater slob town in Idaho that almost no one even knows is on the map... a good number I've come across love to on one hand go on and on about having been in the service... and no doubt they mostly claim to have been Spec-Ops or Delta Force or some such total BS... yet they can't hold a job and for all that military training couldn't organize a **** up in a brewery. lol.

Less time getting railed on methamphetamines and polishing their guns and they might have a clue.

I heard of this last month when it came up on the net from another forum I post on. What surprises me is now people are reacting to this when the rest of the worls knew of this form the late 60's when urban survivalists sprang up in light of the Cold War. Most fizzled out or were absorbed into other groups but it is only now a select handful.

Basically my response was to post this and to say learn form it:
