This first class went great! Not only did I learn that there are three other martial arts clubs available in the same building (tae kwon do, karate, and Brazilian jujitsu), I also learned that aikido is perfect for me, as I'd much rather prevent someone from hurting me or someone I care about (and maybe make them my buddy while I'm at it ;) )than completely destroy their entire life with my fists.

Of course, there's also falling properly (which my scrambled brains will tell you I'm awful at), use of the jo, basic throws, SLIDING footwork (not stomping), and bunch of other stuff.

This is gonna be a fun class.

    How do you mean?

I'm studying at the Aikido Club in UW Whitewater, under Sensei Ramanzo.

Is this your club? Looks like they were part of Shihan Fumio Toyoda organisation which was part of the Ki society and then Aikikai.
