Mine has 2 discs aswell. Though, alas, it doesnt come in a flame tin. :cry:

 

The HD-DVD version comes with the HD-DVD AND standard DVD version of the movie. Also, there's rumour of an even more Specialler Edition set down the road with extra footage!!!

 

I ordered the HD version since I already have the standard version from Thailand.

 

I heard you (or read you, as the case may be). I rarely buy special editions. Especially with all these silly bells and whistles.

Dude. Flames! As I understand it the R3 disc comes in limited edition steel case, but it doesn't have flames so I opted for the limited edition R4 set with flames.

I'm a sucker for special editions, limited editions, variant covers, etc. etc., but having flames makes it that little bit more special.

 

DVDS come with region variation specials? Have I been transported to 2000?

 

It's pretty much always been like that. Plus shops within a country will have their own variations. For example, the R2 UK version of 'Hot Fuzz' came with a cardboard sleeve, however, HMV had their own exclusive sleeve as did Virgin Megastore.

Interweb sites can also have their own exclusive casing, ezydvd is one of them as is Play.

I've re-watched "300" and it is quite simply fan-bloody-tastic, so much so that I'm going to convert it for my ipod touch so I can view carnage and mayhem Spartan style on my way to and from work.
