well, got back from denver awhile ago. the tournament went pretty well, and i'm not too sad with how i did, although i didn't win. first tournament though, so i won't complain.

2004 North American Submission Wrestling Championships
    Featherweight (under 140lbs)

    Champion: Gary Duff (Grapplers Edge)

    2nd Place: Michael Williams <---me

3rd Place: Jake Wood (Delgado's Boxing & Martial Arts

    4th Place: Dan Lovato

basically, i did well on the ground, winning a match with a triangle, but standing, i suck. i mean really, REALLY suck. in the finals, the guy jumped on my back and got a back crank. i probably could've held on for longer and been ok, but i kind of panicked after some back pain i've been having recently. oh well, now i just know what i need to work on!

Those Grappler's Edge guys kick ass. Sheldon Marr is one of, if not THE best coaches out there.

Thats kind of what I view tournaments for, to see what I"m weak and strong in. Great job!
