I get the feeling it is ocho ocho. Now all together and after 3. 1. 2. 3. "AWA NG DIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS!"
Hey Pat, The best forum teaching I've ever had!!! Been practicing the X pattern and its looking very nice!! I've impressed myself.. You mentioned you do like an 8 count version.. anyway you can help a beginner and describe how you do that one. Thanks again for the help
it's not an 8 count. it's doing figure 8s with each baston. there are two basic types of figure 8s. the upward figure 8 and the downward figure 8. both look like you're tracing the infinity sign in the air with the tip of your baston. try doing it with a single baston first. do it with both left and right hand. then try to combine both with 2 bastons.
Pat gave a great explanation. The Link to the Dog Brothers talks about power, and that is so true. you need to be able to work both sticks at the same time, and as Pat pointed out the only way to get there is to Practice, (* Repeat *) Once you get tht pattern down, look for other patterns to learn. Then try switching from one to another, without stoping. This will get you into thinking about reall applications of the double stick and sinawali patterns.
