12 second pushups...

    Read the article I posted. The point is that while it probably does stimulate muscular hypertrophy, it probably doesn't achieve much as regards explosive power and functional strength. Once you hear indictments as serious as that from some of the original purposes, your suspicion alarms should already be sounding.

    Superslow training should be kept to bodybuilding because it does not increase athletic performance significantly. Check out that t-mag article for more information which I would have just copied and pasted anyway. I'm sure if you bother to search through the literature on super slow training, you will come to the same conclusions.

    the only thing these are useful for is doing a few then doing pushups to failure. Works better than just doing these
     
  4. why not do 3 minute pushups and do one or two? :p
