Thomas, thanks for posting that. I always believed it was a 2 year waiting period from 1st to 2nd dan (3yrs. for 3rd, 4 yrs. for 4th, etc.).

This is true for me as well. My front and roundhouse kicks seem to be better with the right leg, but side kicks are better with the left.
