Ahh, mate so sorry I missed this...I basically stopped reading this forum a while back. The amount of actual physicality will vary from dojo to dojo but you can bet you'll end up with some pretty awesome bruises at pretty much any BJK school, at least for the first few years until you toughen up and your ukemi improves. The heart of the system is very much on the ruthless/lethal side of things and it's one of those things that you'll think you're getting pretty tough and then your teacher will whip out something that hurts worse than anything you could have imagined before then. If it's pain you're after you've come to the right place (in a good way, of course), but I'm not sure about the "pressure" element, as BJK training doesn't (traditionally) incorporate sparring and I'm not sure what Mr Tattoli's school is like these days. Anyway you're welcome and I hope you found what you were looking for, whether it was Bujinkan or something else :)
