It's an interesting tangent the thread has gone onto; training with people you don't like, or don't like you.
I've trained with with the spectrum of people I would not socialise with outside of class and those who I get on well with.

I've always found it interesting when it's in a scenario where you don't work on a social level, but they train hard and I've often preferred that over training with a friend or someone who I get along with socially/personally who doesn't put the effort in.

All joking aside, it's quite weird how this has become a thing..... Considering I even made a thread about my then impeding parent hood recently too......

It's certainly not something that's becomes a subject on the mats, I agree there.
We don't run around, train and ask each other "Hey, you're gay aren't you?" and the like ;) :D

But with some of the people I talk to aside from the mat.
Let it be during our Christmas event or whatever.
And there too: We don't necessarily talk about it, but from some I know they are married (man to woman) or have children or like playing PlayStation or studying law or...
My point being: None of the above is in any way relevant to our training, but we still exchange some info; and I would most certainly hope, that no one would feel the need to hide their sexuality.

Also it's (for me) about prejudices in general and you can hardly hide if your white or black or octopus.

Ironically, some octopi can change colour, but not change the fact that their octopuses.....

    Off topic, Sorry!

    Whoops, impending parenthood even.....

Maybe that was a Freudian slip...... Or was it a jungian twinset......

A Freudian slip is s garment that reveals more than it hides.

I trained with several people who were homosexual, and had no idea until they got married. Made no difference, still got my backside kicked round the gym by one of the young ladies.
