Fear of becoming a Grateful Dead fan is perfectly natural.

Sorry, man. No offense intended. The reason I couldn't tell is because of your history with entertainment studios. I'd think there would be a number of large stuffed suits here and there (occupied, or not). That must've been...interesting.

I have way too many fears, really. At the top of the list, in no particular order:

    • Losing my mind (dimentia, Parkinsons, Alzheimers, etc.)
    • Losing my limbs or the use of them
    • Spiders
    • Orwellian society

Oh, you think concepts from Scifi are scary?

    Google 'Unwind'.

If you're feeling really morbid, google 'Roland + Unwinding scene'.

I have a couple of fears of which I couldn't place one above the other.

-Getting kidnapped, and then tortured for no reason at all while knowing that they will kill me in the end.

-Suddenly instantly dying without being able to say goodbye to the world.

-Losing my leg(s) for whatever reason.

-Winding up in a huge ocean by myself and unable to see through the water.

    -Getting attacked by a shark.

-Or to sum everything up in one sentence, losing/having no, control over a situation. But to pinpoint this as my greatest fear, wouldn't accurately describe what exactly I'm most afraid of.

I have to say this with my fingers crossed, but I don't particularly fear amputation or loss of any physical capability, because a lot of my study has to do with cybernetics and implants, and I'm quite confident we'll have all possible replacements covered in the next 30 years.

Still, I'd like to stay as one piece...

My biggest fear is to end up having a mediocre life, really. I put high expectations on myself, almost unhealthily. I don't want to feel I failed due to a lack of discipline, and that possible outcome scares me.

Hanging on the cliff edge and know that I am going to fall. Should I hang on as long as I can and still fall, or should I just let go right at this second?

    ...continuous failure with no results.

Also a little phobia of getting stunk by bees (insects with a barb, especially wasps). I sat on an bee hive close to the woods one time not paying attention to the angry buzzing sounds around me; needless to say I was stunk multiple times and couldn't sit for a week.

It used to be terrible, I would run erratically when one comes close and wave my hand like I was leading an orchestra, but I started reading about bees and the beauty of their world, and I got over most of it.

Damn Slip, that story sounds like a nightmare. Heck, the embarrassment by itself is overwhelming.

Claustrophobia. Being stuck in a small space with no way to muscle my way out. Like a coffin, underground. Or a pipe.

One thing that really gets to me is those shows where they gag someone and stuff them in a car trunk as a "prank". It came up in real life once, like my friend was like "wouldn't this be funny for so and sos birthday?".

I told him that I would never do anything like that. If anyone did that to me, I would kill them. If they tried, and failed, it would be because I went crazy and maimed them.
