DSB -- a Journey cover band. ("DSB" as in "Don't Stop Believing") Heard them at an outdoor summer concert. Wow.

So this is going to sound weird but... well, the first concert I ever went to, I didn't have a ticket to. My sister, my mother, and I all went to an area of Houston called the Woodlands, about an hour and a half from where I lived. Now where I lived, it was scrubland and bayous. There were animals I knew - cottonmouths (venomous snakes), water snakes, water bugs, dragonflies, bullfrogs, leopard frogs, green tree frogs, gray tree frogs, cuban tree frogs, etc. When I traveled to the Woodlands pavilion, hooooooly crow, we found different things. First copperhead, Dynastes grantii male, female stag beetle, stick insect, large mantids, just the coolest stuff ever walking on the sidewalk. Really let's you know what you can establish with an organic, no pesticide, no fungicide community, but then, I'm the toxic avenger with regards to my bonsai.

And yeah, Sugar Ray, Goo Goo Dolls, and Fastball did a decent job.

Seen prince, Clapton, U2, bonjovi, knofflar, springsteen and a load more live and all were great, but the best concert had to be seeing BB king on his last ever tour in the UK, you knew you were in the presence of greatness as soon as he started to play his guitar

Been to a few big gigs in my time (Stone Roses, Oasis, Motorhead, Black Stone Cherry to name a few) but the best was by far a show put on by Rationale in London last May. We were approached by a street promo team who asked if we wanted to go and see an up-and-coming artist for free, we said yeah, and got to stand in the front row. Maybe 50-60 people there and his vocals are the best I've ever heard live.

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats () blew my mind in Birmingham, but I think the best time I've had was a concert in Telford Town park when I was about 14-15. Indie Rock, mosh pits, right in the front row awesomeness.

Prince at the Kentish Town Forum in 1993. I'd been to the Wembley Stadium show beforehand, which was awesome, and managed to get tickets to the aftershow at the Forum. He didn't come on stage until early morning but, when he did, the show was out of this world. He jammed on his guitar and bass and stage dived into the crowd and played a range of his onw songs and covers. It was a small venue, with a small crowd and the atmosphere was fantastic.

I've not been to a great deal, but my favourite was Metallica Death Magnetic at O2 London, I think it was 2008. Amazing show (and great tunes obviously)

Most memorable I guess was Rammstein, 2004(ish). Just such a fun spectacle of cyberpunk and pyro.

Bio-Hazard I was involved in a circle of death, where I literally ducked a clothesline from the stereotypical, giant topless, man muscle mountain, who collided with an unsuspecting guy behind me, sparking a fight.

    That was fun.

I saw Soundgarden at the civic hall in Wolverhampton just before they broke up (originally) and it was amazing. Also saw Faith No More when they were still good. Both of those are still probably the best gigs of my life to date and I was a teenager for both of them... How tragic!

1980, Thin Lizzy at the CYMS ,Tralee, Co, Kerry. My first proper rock concert, not even the best line up of the band, but it's in my top 5 best things I ever did, ever. I'm 55 and have got a lot of material to draw on for that list

You're so lucky. I would have loved to have seen Prince, and in a small venue too. Amazing.
