Taekwondo - Color belt students wear all white V-neck uniforms. Black belts wear white V-neck uniforms with black trim and may wear white or black pants. If you really want to wear uniforms of various colors and styles after black belt, go ahead - sometimes we do fashion shows. Combat Hapkido- Black wraparound uniform or organizational teeshirt with black pants or non-uniform training gear. Feel free to wear mat boots if you like. Visitors - wear your own uniforms and belts from your school if you like.
BJJ/JJ - blue Karate/Freestyle - red & black These are infrequent though - gi's are pretty outdated IMO
I've got a half dozen of them as my mate owns a major gi brand. At the moment I have a blue one and black one with a heavy weave for BJJ/Judo etc. and I have a few white ones that are lighter for DRAJJ etc.
Our school wears black pants. The shirt denotes rank. Red = junior students. Black = senior students. White = sifus.
I wear a black uniform. Basic ranks must wear white, brown belts and higher can wear black, and black belts can wear white, black, blue, or red. I still wear black even though im a black belt. hmm.....a red uniform would be cool though....haha
Men in Black...boy I feel old, I assumed he ment the Chuck Norris movie "Good Guys Wear Black" - but that may have been before you were born. We wear a black and white uniform
We wear natural or white dogi, but brown belt and up is allowed to wear a black gi. For kobudo we can wear natural, white or brown dogi.
We wear plain white dogi. No fancy stuff. Only the schools emblem on the leftside chest (black kanji). Then there is a white, green, brown or black belt around the waist.
Anyone know why white/light became the sort of default colour for gi's and doboks? Black would be a far more utilitarian option to my mind. Won't discolour as much, hides stains etc.
