Jesse Cook - The Ultimate Jesse Cook 2 Cd set of great Flamenco/World Fusion music from a top guitarist.
Just listened to: Primus - Tommy the Cat Primus- Wynona's Big Brown Beaver Tool-Schism AIC- Would? Now listening to FNM-The Perfect Crime
Neil Diamond - Tennessee Moon Neil goes a little bit country on this 1996 release...pretty good sound. Tennessee Moon, One good love(with Waylon Jennings), Blue Highway( with Chet Atkins), a new recording of Kentucky Woman, Shame, Everybody.
I've been listening to a lot of Larkin Poe stuff lately. Love the sound they have. This particular vid is just a practice session by one of the sisters but the slide guitar and unique phrasing have me watching it over and over
The Notorious B.I.G. - Duets Tracks of Biggie rappin' mixed with other artists, made after his death. Some cool tunes. Living the life, 1970 something, Nasty girl, Mi casa. Nu Shoos - Poolside High energy 80's dance music. 1987 I had a little truck with a boomin stereo..blasted this cassette all summer. I can't wait, Don't let me be the one, point of no return, you put me in a trance.
Listening to Hiss Spun from Chelsea Wolfe. It's absolutely brilliant. Crushing, dense, doom riffage with absolutely beautiful vocals. It's like David lynch and Beth Gibbons made a baby while listening to the last Conan album and this gem was born.
i was putzing around pitchfork.com and saw a review of "the queen is dead" had to listen to it for the millionth time, just 'cause. how can one pass up listening to the greatest rock album of all time?
Heard this on the radio today and had to YouTube it. And then found this. Merry Christmas to my Aussie friends. It's might as well be summer where I live, too! (about 80 F)
Jesse Cook - The Blue Guitar Sessions Jesse takes a curve away from his usual up-tempo style of playing towards a darker, slower, moodier sound. As always he sounds good. I put a spell on you(Featuring Emma Lee on vocals), Broken moon, Ocean blue, Midnight.
A Rock and Roll Christmas Time to get into the spirit, Eh? I remember the local FM radio station playing these songs at Christmas time when I was a kid ( anyone remember FM radio?). Elton John, The Kinks, Billy Squier, Bob Seger, Elvin Bishop, and others. I always kick of the season with this CD.
^^ Good call. I like to stream mixes like that, too. I've been very disappointed this past week -- I have not yet heard my favorite non-Jesus Christmas song on the radio. In past years it played often, but this year, total void. So not proper. So I have to YouTube for myself.
Terri Nunn - Moment of truth 1991 solo debut from ex-Berlin lead singer. I always liked her vocals with Berlin and think this is a nice set of songs. Desire me, Confession time, Once upon a time, Who's gonna take you home tonight.
