Hello, I've been trying to find new and exciting ways to stay fit and to enhance my MA skills, etc. The times I stray away from traditional weights and cardio (running, and more running) I always find myself coming back.

I tried club bells for a bit and didn't feel as though I was getting anything out of them really. I was shown a few of the exercises by a good friend. Well, I didn't find them all that challenging. I could do the exercise it seemed until I got bored doing them, and I never felt sore the following day so I returned his club bells and picked up my dumbbells once more.

I also do not find Hindu push ups to be much of a challenge either, I can do more of them than I can traditional push ups.

I look at people like Matt Furey, et al. They present all of these new way exercises, we know they started out using traditional methods so how do we know that the programs that they present are the way that they achieved thier level of fitness and physical attributes and not the more traditional methods?

I guess what I'm getting at here is, are these new way exercises just a way to sell a product, or is there any merit to them?

Blessed as usual hits the name on the head. The idea of lifting weights, training etc has been around for a very long time. The only changes is that increased medical knowledge so we of course now know that the horse stance is pointless. We also know more about nutrition so it is easier to sort out dietary plans etc.

Its about in depth knowledge about what we already knew
