I bought his book, read it... but since english isnt my main language, i dont realy understand how to make a stretching program.
since i dont know when i can go to the gym i cant realy make a scheduel for it.

from what i understand, in the morning i do warm up + dynamique stretching. night warm up + dynamque stretching +???? . and for days i do training, warm up + dynamique stretching work out, then isometrique stetching and relaxed stretching.

i have no idea when to do stactic active stretching. what i will do for stretching is the stuff for front and side splits. for uper body little difficulte for me to know what to do since i never real done martial art. was thinking of doing neck, wrist stretching with back stretching and "side stretching of the abdomen" and as for the arms no idea what to do.

    Welcome to MAP. :D

There are some links in the 'Stretching Links' post at the top of this forum that might help.

There are also some links right down at the bottom of this page.

    Cheers.

The book does show and explain the different types of stretches but of course you have to devise your own program once you have read through all of the information Kurz provides.
It is not the stretching exercise per se that make his method effective really. It is performing them in the proper sequence during your workout.
Some exercises should follow one another while others should not .... and he does make mention of them in his book.

So to try and answer your question ..... continue to do your dynamic stretches twice a day, once in morning and once during warmup before your training....at the end of your workout do your strength and conditioning exercises (static active)..... then do isometric followed by relaxed static.

Sample workout plans are towards the end of the book and are there for a rough guide.... depending on what specifics you are targeting.

    Hope that answered your question!

Andy Murray Sadly passed away. Rest In Peace.

One of the most sensible things I picked up from the book, hard going that it is (thanks Greyghost, you've had it for three years now) was the early morning routine.

Kurz postulates that your whole body 'resets' during sleep, then establishes it's maxims during your working day.

By setting a greater range of movement earlier in the day, you are better faccilitated to explore it during your training later on.

Made sense to me anyway. ;)

Ya i seen the sample work outs. just that if i remember right he doesnt realy explain what follows what. or do i just pick each thing i want to do and there all ready in order?

because of days i dont work out at night should i do the stactic, followed by isometrict then relaxed stretching?

one last thing since some of you have experiance with martial arts, what excersise should i do for my upper body for flexibility. i tough of neck, wrist, front, back, sides of the abdomen. but for arms i have no idea. for legs gonna do front side and back, for front and side splits.

planning on doing TKD, then once i get good base move on to other type of martial arts.
