Thankfully not. God bless Amazon! Time to upgrade to a decent watch, luckily was training during a night shift so no-one saw it.
Philosophy with a young child is so much fun. One time when we (child and me) were walking to the beach to go boogie-boardin gwe wondered how the ocean came to be. We only know of two ways to make a lake. Either it is formed by damming a river, so the water in the river backs up, or it’s formed by a river flowing down a mountain and collecting in a hole. But there is no mountain on the ocean, and there is no dam, either. So we don’t know how the ocean got there. LOL! Come on, that was cute! But at the same time, we know everything. Yes. After long and fruitful philosophical discussions, we came to realize that we know everything. Try to follow along, if you can: The things we already know, we know, so we know. And as to the things we don’t already know, we know that we don’t know them, and that’s knowing, so we know. In other words, knowing that we don’t know is knowing, because we know that we don’t know, so we do know about it. So we know. LOL! Oh, come on, that was clever!

So one time when my little one and I went boogie-boarding, during the walk down the hill to the water we wondered (as little ones might) how the ocean came to be. We only know of two ways to make a lake. Either it is formed by damming a river, so the water in the river backs up, or it’s formed by a river flowing down a mountain and collecting in a hole. We know she’s secretly a unicorn working for the CIA by the way her earlobe jiggles. -- so said my little one, with a straight face.
So much sport on my TV! I love the Olympics. I get to see all sorts of sports that never get any coverage. I have the picture in picture setting going on my TV so I can watch 2 channels at once!
I lost track of how many screens I had running for the London games. Was still around to watch our first gold medal this morning. The road race must have been bad for Nibali, supposedly one of the best descenders in the world, to crash out the day before one of the lasses went OTB on the same descent.
There were some bad crashes on the road race. The dutch rider's looked particularly nasty: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/37005595 I currently have the BBC channel open in work with the rowing on and will be changing to the Judo shortly.
One olympic sport I cant get away with is the Judo. Prefer the Paralympic Judo to be honest. All of the track cycling is on when I'm at work this year so gutted about that but that's what iPlayer is for when I get in. The dutch cyclist is in intensive care, Nibali broke his collarbone, Richie Porte broke his scapula, lots of others with road rash. Had to laugh at the coverage asking Geraint Thomas if he's ok. The guy rode the Tour de France with a fractured pelvis for crying out loud!
I enjoy the Judo. One guy actually tried a flying armbar but didn't get the submission from it. That being said, there were some much better takedowns in the women's rugby sevens yesterday!
This always makes me smile I'm naming all the stars. ---- You can't see the stars, love, that's the ceiling. Also, it's day. I can see them. But I've named them all the same name, and there's terrible confusion.
Dru! Right! Wouldn't have gotten that name for the life of me (Well, i could have used google, but that's lame ). They were great together She's so crazy, that I seem normal, so you got to love her
Just had separate chats with two world class martial artists. One national and one international. Both extremely giving and supportive. There are still some good people in this world.
Anyone doing the 'Glow in the Park' run at Longleat tomorrow evening? This year it's a UV 3.73 mile (6km) run/walk to help support Alabare which is a charity that helps support veterans, homeless, young people, adults with learning disabilities and people who suffer from mental health issues. 4 of my girlfriends and I are running it this year; it's open to all abilities and age groups (though I think 7 years old is the starting age?).
I've always told my wife that her handbags should be of the zip up variety and this is to eliminate the opportunist thief. Apparently she now needs a new bag.
