Not the best PRs ever but they are mine so I'm happy with them! Bench: Not actually sure. For the last few weeks I've been benching with dumbells so my PR for them is 35kg for 8 reps (did 3 sets). Squat: 130kg x 4 (parallel) Deadlift: 150kg x 1 Overhead Press: 55kg
Not exactly a PR yet, but my goal for the end of the summer is to carry my heavy bag up a mountain. Haha not a huge mountain, a small one acctually. I live at the foot of a small mountain (mount douglas, vic, bc) For the past 2 months I've been trying to get my conditioning up so I can at least attempt this. All my friends who arent into fitness, find this mountain tiring to get to the top, ...so I need to take it to the next level. Gonna shoot for the top, mid august I think. Wish my poor poor legs luck! PS, if I do successfully do this, Firefighter pre-req test should be a breeze haha!
Thanks. I was looking at the video again and realized I have way to much extension going on. I have the same arch there as I do when I bench. This is causing a power leak and not letting me use the full strength of my legs. I tightened things up a bit and the weight went up a bit.
18 dead hang pullups in one set and 75 pushups in one set.. Get ready to see those scores broken soon! *insert silly man grunts here*

Some great progress and PR's posted here. CosmicFish - great form on your deadlift especially. I think you could squat a bit more with a few inches wider stance. Also it was hard to tell in the benchpress vid but looks like you could drive your heels in arch a bit more. Even still, great form on all lifts and thanks for posting up videos. Blessed_Samurai - you a strong mofo. Socrastein - thanks for the reply re. the belt and compliment on not hurting myself. I try... not to that is. Keep it up y'all! This thread is motivation for others asking about weight training in the H&F section. Now we have some good vids to show people how to squat instead of leg press. :woo:
Just landed a 395 low box squat for a double this afternoon in the gym, it was highbar. (I'm not doing any lowbar stuff yet) Hopefuly my freesquat will start coming up around the 400s soon, i'll go for it in ~2 weeks. Oh I got a cameraphone today, all I need is a cable and I'll start posting some vids for form critique.
