That might be what struck me about it - looks more like what I'd see on a climbing equipment site. I can see how it would be ok as a favicon (the current one looks like it's from the original MAP) but that's about it. Might be better on a redesigned site like.
I started to like it more when I added it to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It just looked cleaner. It has been changed slightly for MAP, because with the wording below the logo it left a big gap in the top banner. By having the wording next to the logo it works better. I like it.
