It was available yesterday at the Nationals and yes it is the 'official' BKFA one. Master Yau does an intro and John Russell is doing the Commentary. I don't know some of the others on it from what I have watched so far but Morag Quirk makes an appearance. I'll make a note of who is in it on the credits and let you know. It's good so far. Quite clear to me but I'll have to see what my students make of it who are at that grade.
I thought on the whole it was good but that some of you could have showed yourselves off a bit more. Probably just nerves and I'm sure I'd be the same . I've not learnt the gwan dao v sword and shield set yet so probably shouldn't comment (but I will anyway). It would have been better if the guy with the gwan dao didn't drop it before the sword and shield guy had even rolled on the gwan dao. I really enjoyed the mantis forms and the sword ones. Were you on the demonstration team and if so what were you doing? I may have you on video
Alot of nerves yes. I was the guy with big curly hair, fa kuen, lau gar luk hap kuen and ng ying kuen (leopard section start of tiger section pose)
LGFist, Any ideas as to when it will be available on the BKFA website, there is no mention of it on there. Also what price. Aaaannnd, are you going to post any videos of your trip to the demonstrations? Thanks for answering all
It can't be long now till they are available. They were £15 yesterday but I think they were discounted. That said I got a copy for Mr O. which he has foolishly paid me for already. So at a hugely inflated price its yours mwahahahaaa  I've not uploaded any footage yet as it didn't go down too well last year. Shame I didn't get Freud>god, he might not have minded. There is some of a few of my guys fighting points (badly) and will be some good continuous up soon. http://uk.youtube.com/user/laugarfist It was the first time for most of them though and I think they did well for themselves considering we don't train point sparring at my club. Any constructive critisism on them will be appreciated and passed on to them.
Yeah i would advise against putting up any videos from the demonstration unless you get permission from the persons involved.
Dave did a nice gwan dao set for the forms competition (which he won I think). I'll ask if he minds it being posted. I see him Wednesday.
:wow: Then that more than covered the petrol :bang: I may not be able to make it on Sat. Do you want me to hang on to it or pass it on through Clive?
Guys, don't mean to be rude but this thread is in the resources section I started to get some decent kung fu info going.I know I'm no mod now but if you could please respect that and take this somewhere else? Would be a shame to lose the info already here.
Andrew Nation Keith Thomas Morag Quirk and a surprise appearance by Master Yau doing KBSF. There is also some additional exercises, some summer course 08 footage and an orange sash trailer.
The Official BKFA White/Blue sash DVD is now on sale on Keith Thomas' Website. £16 Frued>God I saw this guy at the nationals with loads of mad hair and i thought it may have been you. Didn't get chance to say hi tho. Well done for the demo tho. It did look nervous but that didn't detract from the display or the fun. Who was the guy with the sheild/sword?
Shield and sword is my instructor Mr. Sheppard. Errrm, well i had loads of black curly hair and was wearing a red leather jacket and black slim fit jeans, then got changed into the demo attire, I'm an indian kid so with that description you probarly couldnt have missed me lol. Yeah i enjoyed the day.
Erm...... I think it was suggested that the full set will be sold for around £70 but i was also told the dvd's would be £15 so i dunno. Am i right in thinking that the white/blue sash dvd is the only one of the new set that is a double feature (oooh ohh oooh) and the rest are single sash discs?
the DVDs will be £15 at courses and at tournaments and £16 on-line to cover my costs (card companies charge me every time a purchase is made) each of the next DVDs will cover one grade so next will be Orange which with a bit of luck will be out at Christmas
