Our dojang uses these shields. Their made by century and we still have most of the ones we used when i started there 13 years ago... they may not be the cheapest but they last forever and the holder doesn't feel much impact. http://www.centurymartialarts.com/Targets_and_Shields/Shields/Blast_Master.aspx
All of my kick shields have been bought 2nd hand. The 2 best that I have are a blue Hiyashi one and a black one that just says 'mma' on it. Academy Sports ones are ok but we have split a couple of them over the past 3 years. I also have a small black one from a carboot that is like concrete..I think it is made of cardboard, it looks like nothing but it is a proper bone breaker lol. We also use focus mits an thai pads. Get yourself a good set of thai pads amd they will last ages.
I've been getting mine from Tiger Claw for twenty years, I can happily recommend them: https://www.tigerclaw.com/shields-martial-arts-c-352.html
Has anyone tried venum shields? I haven't bought them yet, but I like the look of them. though perhaps a little expensive
I know this thread is old, but has anyone tried these Carbon Claw shields? https://fightstoredublin.ie/product/carbon-claw-curved-strike-shield/ Thanks.
