This seem bit weird to me....introducing your sifu.

It just doesn't seem normal. Introducing yourself would be normal, but to not introduce yourself and introduce someone not presence....is weird.

I'm not meaning to make anyone uncomfortable, but the martial arts community has so many overnight grandmasters and the intro comes across that way too.

Not really. In CMA's lineage is rather important and people tend to be rather proud of those who they train under. It's pretty much the same for any MA really... because as we all know... at one point the inevitable gets asked... 'who do/did you train under'.... so no big deal.

A vast majority of this board talks about who they train under or have trained under in one form or another.

    Nothing strange about it.

Proper etiquette when introducing someone requires that person to be present. Furthermore, you won't approach people you don't know to introduce someone else they don't know either.

I have nothing against being proud about what you do or grateful towards a mentor. Maybe the post should have been called "My sifu's website".

Since when did Victorian etiquette apply to MAP? LOL! :D

And yes it's not that uncommon for people to approach people they don't know to introduce someone that person doesn't know. What do you think happens to the shy guy all the time in bars across the world at the hands of his mates! :D

Hey guys. Thanks for checking this out. I appreciate it. GMC isn't here on this site, no, but he knows about my doing this... and yes, I do it cause I am very proud of my sifu, and grateful for all the time he has invested in me. The video LINK works for me, so I dont understand why anyone says it isn't. If you can see video on utube, you should be able to see it via the link on the site. There are some other students that I'm not familiar with that have posted other videos of GMC on Utube. The only way to make sure they are good ones tho is to see the ones that GMC himself has authorized to put up, and we are handling that through this site at this time. The other 2 forms of Kung fu that GMC studied is Black Tiger and 5 animal form. (to answer that question)
Key Jitsu is a self defense system that GMC developed using keys as a means of self defense. He specializes in using ANYTHING that you might carry daily as self defense tools. This is one system of such. It appeals to many who aren't interested in taking or having the time to learn a true kung fu system, but are interested in self defense. This is a class for women only. Its a noteworthy class to take regardless. (One can learn to teach it by permission and helping with the women in the class.)
Control Aggression is one of his more involved systems. It has been taught to many law enforcement officials. It uses pressure point control to as a means of alleviating continued aggression from a subject. It is highly effective, and it gosh darn hurts like a mo !!! (and I have GOOD pain tolerance through my years of study) Hense the control part. lol. It's almost like cheating if there's such a thing.
He has several other systems as well.. Touch-me-not. Another class devoted to self defense of women only, but one can learn to teach (male or female) through permission and helping with the classes also. GMC 2000 is self defense through using an instrument of his own design. It's meant as a viable alternative to guns and knives. As it is considered an experimental object, it can be used as carry on to public transportation. It can be used as a knife is used, and can penetrate heavy leather or other heavy clothing. It is designed after the shaolin monks use of short sticks (or pens) they used to carry for defense. After the fall of the Shaolin Temple, it eventually took root in Japan and became known as Yawara Jitsu.
Upcoming events are the Science Of Punching seminar (Class). Its for men and women, and is an in depth study of punching methods used in various martial arts. It starts on the 8th of March and lasts until 3rd of may. It's 25 USD a week, each saturday from 2 till 3:30 pm. One must be at least 10 years old. All styles are welcome to the extensive punch training program. This class rocks.. one of my favorite! The website will be updated soon.
Thanks ! Hope this answers some questions !!

    Sarge :)

He charges you guys $20 a class?!

If I had to pay $20 a class, I'd be burning $120 a WEEK at my school.

For a really high level quality instructor, teaching full time, I wouldn't imagine it was that uncommon.

You have missed the point. I'm not the only person here that is questioning. If the guy would have said "my teacher, a great guy, he changed my life and he is about doing good things", then no one would care about his lineage, because it's not important. But if someone doesn't introduce themselves properly, people will ask about their background, and their teacher's background. I think the poster intend to give credibility, not to leave questions of his grandmaster's credibility.

I'm "not" saying this guys is a fraud. He may have been a very hard working student for 40 years and now it is his time to be recognized for the time, money, sacrifices and energy. I'm just giving the poster an opportunity to socialize here on his post, not just offer to sell us all something.

"I will see you around the forum." That's from me to you, not my teacher, through me to you....lol

Keeping it light and having fun...RAB

If my instructor charged me $20 a class and I took all the classes, it would cost me $120 a WEEK or $480 a MONTH. You can rent a friggin' apartment for that where I live. Even with the schedule shown on his website - it's 20 bucks a class, 3 classes a week. That's $240 a month, which is too rich for my blood unless the guy is top 10 best in the world.

Edit: oh yeah, plus the $60/month staff class, which comes out to $300 a month just to attend all the classes. I could be buying an Acura (Japanese luxury automobile :D ) for that. I'd rather have the Acura! :D

Well Guys.. this is a special class, and with the class and materials you recieve, I think it's a good deal. Expecially when you consider the level of expertise your getting in the instruction, walking through everything from bone conditioning, to the application and uses of dit da jow, and the attention each person recieves as you get walked through the process with supervision at each stage.. I wasn't putting it up to advertise, just FYI. Sorry if I offended anyone with how I introduced him.
