If you could only play one game for the rest of your life what would it be?

Don't see why not. Retro will always be a thing.

    Oh my stars yes!

Doom is still a classic and gets many a good session on my PC!

Sites like GoG and Abandonia also get a plethora of traffic....and who doesn't like playing Mario 64?

I will still be playing Skyrim when they nail my lid shut!

    Tough question.

Ultima Online probably. Assuming that I could get anyone else (and I mean anyone in the world) to continue playing it. When UO was still a thing, I loved it. It was fascinating seeing the little societies that built up in that game. I was never much of a force in Britannia, which I enjoyed as well. I didn't necessarily want to be the big damn hero. I enjoyed the early days, when you basically had to devote some of your skill points to a trade, just so you could get by while you actually tried to become decent at fighting things.

I had a long-running miner/blacksmith, and I remember spending many happy hours mining, blacksmithing, and fleeing into a nearby cave system whenever the call "PK or player killers" went up. There was something really satisfying about actually viewing the other players and monsters as threats versus bags of experience points to be gathered. Even such unglamorous activities as hiding while the big players killed monsters, then looting the site for the stuff they couldn't be bothered with felt like an adventure. (Albeit not the sort that bards and skalds would sing about later.)

It was very sad to try UO again last year on a free one-month trial, only to discover that it was essentially deserted. I get that it's pretty long in the tooth for a MMORPG. But I loved the gameplay, aesthetics (classic), etc.

That said, I would LOVE to try out the online Conan game. I'm disappointed that it's class based, but it looks beautiful. And I loves me some Howard.

I've recently got System Shock 2, Fallout 2, and Elder Scrolls Daggerfall from GoG.

    Awesome site.

    I forgot about this thread.

Having bought and played Fallout 4 I have to scratch my prediction out: I was already bored of it before the story ended.

Love GOG, all their games are optimised and I have never run into any issues unlike Steam...

The only issue I had was with MM9, and that is a Windows 10 thing....GoG always work on patches pretty quick or so it seems

If you liked the film blade runner. I imagine you would like Gemini Rue.

I wouldn't mind getting stuck in that world for the rest of my life.
