I don't know what that means, so in case it's important, you'd have to explain that. Aside from the point, that I doubt that the TE will actually start anything anyway, from his texts I doubt he would go hiking deep in the countryside either.
It depends what weight it can handle and if its comfortable to wear, as i have stated i ahve not used it nor worn it with weight. I have also said i am not going to go running anytime soon, i am inquiring for intrest and use at a later date and others can find some use from it. In regards to the other comments on running i did do it in my back garden but i dont define that as true running and the area i did it in was like 3 meters long and you can probbly see why i stopped doing that. I believe it worked to improve my cardio though, something i should get back into doing. In regards for knives, i all ready have two swiss army knives, and i also have a interest in regards to bushcraft. Must say they are harder to use than fix bladed ones though. TBF, i may put togetehr a go bag and take that on long walks/runs/jogs, may work as a good progression thing if i decide to start walking as it wontweight that much to begin with and things will be added. (i am also brain storming ideas and tips) In regards to this, what does TE mean and so-so irrelevant as i wont/am unwilling/unable provide evidence. (responded to some of that above)
TE means I wasn't paying attention and used a German forum a minute before. Thread starter was what I meant. And honestly: Don't get me wrong, but I couldn't care less for evidence from someone like you. People who rest on their excuses aren't necessarily the ones I care for; I find people more interesting that find and want ways, despite their problems.
Two points: 1: I think you may have mis understood something along the way. 2: The argument on excuses etc is a non starter as i am not going to provide evidence to counter not doing martial arts or exercises etc and evidence is the only thing that will change anything. There is some more elaboration to go with that but i cant word it.
I'll refer back to my previous reply then. Don't do loaded marches, you have no need to. Or if you really want to then sure go for it, just realise you'll probably damage your knees and cause injury. You seem to be overthinking things a lot, which is fine, I used to as well, but sooner or later you just have to *do* whatever you want to do, rather than just plan and prepare.
Please, get off your moral high horse and stop being judgemental just long enough to take in what you're doing. If you don't have a heart to appeal to, at least use your brain to fit some of these pieces together. It's not a difficult puzzle. Oh, and "Reaver" is an old word for bandit. Interestingly, it's the root of the English word "bereaved". The point is, the probability of being attacked while walking in the British countryside is very close to zero. It was a general point, no need to get tetchy about specifics.
Sorry for double post, dotn know how to edit them in. Point acknowledged. As for those weights, do you have any reccomendations for them? I may missedit if you posted it. (to accurately control and mesure the amount of weight i am carrying rather than equipment and water weight etc) I have come to the conclusion i probably only need to go up to 20kilos, and i have thought of a few reasons why i should train doing them, i forgot in actual fire and rescue fitness tests you wear the Breathing apertus tank which is 5-10kilos (forgot whih exactly) and volunteer search and rescue. (long term goals if anything. ) So, i probably gave the impression of me lugging around 50kilos as a end goal like i want to be a poor heavy machine gunner in the parachute regiment. XD
What people are trying to tell you is that you don't need to do loaded marches to get fit or prepare for these things. There are better ways to get in shape which will prepare you properly. Drills/practice/training with gear is not to get you more fit by carrying extra weight, it's to get experience with having it on or test your capability.
@David Harrison: I'm not on a high horse but I have my share of experiences with mental health issues. I mentioned them often enough, so I won't bother repeating. Are the different compared to Ratacas? I hope so and I also assume so. But that doesn't change anything about him having to actually start something, of he really wants to, instead from talking about. Bus rides, a toe nail, not knowing training times... These are just poor excuses. Same with "I have a bag, but I don't know if it will hold the weights, I don't really plan to use, so I need another one, of which I won't know about it." Let's assume for a moment, Rataca really wants to start a MA at some point. What will him get farther: Not starting anything and people telling him "plan a few more years", or people sharing experiences, telling him "less talk, more do"? Or a step further: He really wants to starts and keeps planning for years and not start anything. In the end, what will he likely regret more: To not have tried at all or failing after at least trying? He claims to want to do something but also a "reason" why he can't. I had them in the dozens as well, but if you want something you have to toss these reasons aside. Personally, I am proud, that I managed this, yes. You feel that's boasting? Well, tough luck, I'm still proud of it. My teachers never expected me to see me a second time around, and that was after even daring to go anywhere. That's, where people start to be different (and I don't mean that in a bad way): Some feel better, after finding the courage, to actually do, other people prefer a compassionate pat on the back and the assurance, that a miracle will happen and take over their problems. But, yeah, I'm probably just a heartless *******, because I prefer criticizing over pitying, because the latter helps no one. Whit made another good point, by the way. I didn't look at it that way, but he's totally right: Boasting with injuries one couldn't prevent, isn't the smartest thing to do. I mean: "Hey, look at me, I managed to nearly break toe while running, and sprained my foot twice because I couldn't land jumping!" doesn't really work indeed. Thanks for the Reaver-explanation!
It has little place in this thread though. Its about loaded marches and info and none of these excuses are in this thread or relivent. Apart from the bag but thats not a excuse and i didnt write this on the premise i was going running ot hiking anytime soon i was curious about joints and it would kill two birds with one stone. General point, is there anything left to cover or has it been done, i have no more questions apart from the one about weights which are good for putting inside a backpack (also i know its offtopic and i delibrately avoid answering some points, on and off do GTUK TKD, thats the only one i have claimed to have done and the one i have gone to in blocks of several months and the most expereince in. still a no belt *sigh* )
